Arrrr you ready to be part of Las Vegas' Pirate, Fairy, Steampunk, and Rennie themed festival?

Do you love talking to people and helping children?

Are you dependable, friendly, and outgoing?

Do you want to help support a program that provides horse assisted therapy for hundreds of special needs families and veterans every month?

If you answered yes to these questions then we have the opportunity for you! Pirate Fest is looking for a few good Pirate volunteers to help us run our Pirate games, help with set up, and tear down. Volunteers will work in shifts at the various games. Light lunch and extra Pirate Fest tickets provided for volunteers that volunteer 4 or more hours.

Our new annual fundraising event: Pirate Fest

In 2019 Paradise Ranch was presented with a huge fundraising opportunity: taking over Pirate Fest as an annual fundraising event. Pirate Fest is a large festival in Las Vegas, NV taking place in the Spring. Festival attendees escape the everyday doldrums by dressing up in Pirate, Steampunk, Renaissance, or fantasy attire and spend the weekend in "another world" with their family. This unique festival experience offers yummy festival foods, tons of themed shopping, family friendly games and activities, a treasure map, whiskey and rum tasting, and world class entertainment. We are dedicated to making this festival the most disability and sensory friendly festival ever; with more shade, seating, and sensory and handicap friendly bathrooms.

More about The Paradise Ranch Foundation

Paradise Ranch provides professionally administered behavioral health therapies through our effective use of Horse Assisted Therapy and interactive behavioral health services. Horse Assisted Therapy and interactive behavioral health services encompasses basic skills training, parent training, social skills, communication skills, coping techniques, respite, life-coaching, etc. The reason we have so many achievements with our clients is simple: our atmosphere makes the client want to participate in their therapy.

Horses have long been known to have natural healing powers; and our horses have been specifically chosen for their personalities that show a desire to read and respond to people who are the most in need. We couple this natural horse experience with trained mental health experts to reach mental health goals faster than traditional therapies. In addition to our mission to provide our clients with the highest level of service; our horses meet the utmost standards of care. All of our horses are rescues or have a special need; and in some cases both. Our horses are specially trained to work as therapy horses, and are considered part of our family.

Currently, a large population of individuals in need of the services Paradise Ranch provide, are not financially able to afford therapies or do programs exist that will cover the cost of these therapies. Paradise Ranch Foundation bridges this financial gap and provides essential services to children and adults that, with the gains they make at the facility, are well on their way to becoming more productive citizens in our community. Paradise Ranch has been open since 2011 and currently serves over a hundred families every month.
