Special Olympics North Carolina is looking for virtual volunteers to join the Partner Up Power Up Program as Closed Caption Typist Volunteers. This program is a virtual training and fitness challenge that can be completed from home bringing together individuals with and without intellectual disabilities. As a replacement for a traditional, in-person training session, this program provides an opportunity for the public to support Special Olympic athletes as volunteer training partners or sponsors.
We need volunteers to make this program a success! We are looking for Typists to create the closed captioning for our fitness classes on Zoom.
Our priority school class is held via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:15 to 11:00 am.
Our community class is held via Zoom on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:45 to 7:00 pm.
We are looking for volunteers who would be available for 2 hours or more per week through May 14. Our staff will work with you to ensure best practices are followed.
