Title: Seeking Reading Tutor for kindergarten student
About the organization:
We are a nonprofit organization based in New York City.
Job Description:
We are seeking experienced reading and write Volunteer Tutor to conduct one-on-one tutoring sessions with a child who needs help with Sight Words Skills when reading.
Programs Director matches a tutor with a child who has a similar background. Tutor meets with child/student 5 hours per week.
Location: on-line only
Requirements
*Experience tutoring young children (preschool and elementary age)
*Patience (we work with special ed. children and this requires a lot of patience)
*Motivational
*A college degree or in a college degree granting program (tutors)
*Interview, job application, and 1 work reference
Trainings: There are trainings and on-going trainings on child/student behavior management, special education, lesson planning, and more.
