Wired for connection is a new program with Bristol hospice where volunteers make visits to patients with a sole purpose in setting up a video chat between the patient and their family. The reason we created this program is because most of our patients cannot operate a tech device themselves and may need assistance, and patients are experiencing more isolation due to COVID-19. This will connect patients to their families who are not able to see them in person.
You must be 18 yrs of age, have an automobile and auto insurance. Volunteers visiting facilities must be COVID vaccinated.
We require 10 hours of online hospice training.
This opportunity is available all throughout the Houston area as we travel to see patients.
