Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Leadership Development is to foster the advancement of minority youth in Central Indiana as future professional, business and community leaders by providing experiences that encourage personal development and educational attainment.

Description

At the Center for Leadership Development, we work with minority youth to put them on an academic, college, and career track so that they can become professional, business and community leaders. We utilize a values-based program model and instill five Principles of Success: Character Development, Educational Excellence, Leadership Effectiveness, Community Service and Career Achievement.

We work to close the gap in academic and professional attainment by offering programs and free services to minority youth. By making a profound difference in individual lives, we aim to transform our entire community. We aspire to serve twice as many youth and be a model for other cities challenged to engage their youth in education and purposeful and productive lives.
