Covid-19 has greatly affected the volunteer component of care offered by Traditions Health of Glen Allen, d.b.a. Hospice Community Care. Many of our patients live in assisted living facilities and nursing homes and are unable to have visitors (except for our staff of caregivers). Many patients feel totally alone but you can help!
Volunteer with us as a Pen Pal!
You will need to have a dependable vehicle as all work will be done in our Glen Allen office. You will receive training on hospice philosophy. We will provide all the materials you will need to share joy with our patients. You will need to follow CDC guidelines while you are in our office, including mask wearing. We are asking that each Pen Pal volunteer donates five hours of their time a week.
