The board of Literacy for Environmental Justice (LEJ) seeks a Treasurer to support the board and the organization. If you are local, you can come see the work our EcoApprentices perform at Candlestick Point State Recreation Area where we have a native plant nursery and are the stewards of the park. We grow thousands of native plants a year to support other urban greening projects around the Bay Area. It's amazing and the work we do as a board through a buddy system with staff, directly benefits the team at LEJ.
The ideal candidate is a CPA or retired CPA and will check-in once or twice a month with the Finance Director to review financial statements, answer questions and will analyze financial data to report out to the board. Prior board experience is help but not required.

Description
LEJ is a hands-on organization where volunteers propagate native seedlings and plant them at urban parks. LEJ has a board consisting of eleven members who serve two-year terms.
