Position: Communication & Marketing Manager

Hours: 4 hours per week

Location: Remote

Volunteering commitment: 6 months

Introduction to Renaissance Sri Lanka

Renaissance Sri Lanka is a non-governmental, apolitical, non-denominational, non-profit, humanitarian organization that wishes to support the Sri Lankan population and impulse ethical change in Sri Lanka, in order to improve the overall livelihood and happiness of the population, in harmony with the identity, culture and values of its Society.

Our long-term goal is to empower Sri Lanka to meet the greatest challenges of the future: Climate Change, Environment Degradation, Technological Revolutions, changing World Dynamics, and Society Transformations.

We build working ecosystems in Sri Lanka, that thrive naturally: a social ecosystem (with a particular attention to empower women), an economic ecosystem and an environmental ecosystem.

We digitally connect our donors so they can grow their businesses in Sri Lanka, launch their own ethical projects and initiatives.

Our organization's first actions are to relieve families hit by the economic crisis that has followed immediately the covid 19 pandemic, by distributing survival packs to women head of families.

Job description:

You will report directly to the Executive Director and will collaborate with the Finance & Administration Manager, the Services to the Donors Manager, the CIO, the Program Managers, and the good-will ambassadors.

Leading Marketing plans and implementation:

  • Design Communication and Marketing campaigns based on the organization overall Strategy, and drive traffic to the website
  • Define and monitor budget (Media, PR, social media, new services for the Donors, ...)
  • Design, create and implement various events (online/offline)
  • Analyze the market context, trends and opportunities to make recommendations
  • Coordinate and supervise our presence on social media and the contents made available on the website.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of the Services to the Donors to elaborate new services and analyze their success.

Managing PR & Media

  • Managing relationships with journalists and/or external agencies
  • Aligning marketing strategies and PR activations with the strategic plan
  • Organizing Press days and ad hoc events
  • Briefing media agencies and setting up annual plans in collaboration with HQ

Managing and developing your team

Managing one Communication & Marketing Manager working full time, Content Managers, Iconographers, and Community Managers.

Requirements:

  • You hold a master’s degree in marketing, MBA, or equivalent.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Marketing and/or Sales with international exposure
  • You have experience or strong interest in the Digital ecosystem
  • You demonstrate solid analytical and organization skills, excellent project management, reporting skills and problem solving
  • You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, collaboration and communication skills with a strong team spirit
  • You are entrepreneur
  • You have the ability to be 'hands on'
  • You are donor oriented and eager to be on the field, interacting with donors and partners
  • You speak English
