Join our team of volunteers who help welcome new patients and their families into our hospice family and become a vital personal connection.
As a Welcome/Phone Team Member, you are assigned to one hospice family on our service, usually within the first week they are on service. Your job is to make daily (when possible) phone contact. You will become a friend and a resource. You will be the person that asks, "Do you need anything? How are things going today? Did you sleep well last night? What are you having for dinner?" and other questions.
You will BECOME their friend.
As a phone friend you will have the full support of our hospice team and you will be able to offer any of our resources. If you see an unmet need. you will let us know and we will have the hospice nurse, social worker or chaplain reach out to the family. You will be an extra pair of virtual eyes and ears, as well as emotional support for the family during a time of increased insecurity, fear, and confusion.
Do you have a few minutes a day to support a family (or two) going through this difficult and isolated time?
Contact Tonya with any questions at 888.976.0788 or teisenhauer@magnoliahospice.com. Or complete our application by clicking on link below, and we will contact you once received.
