Northeastern’s Human Performance Lab invites you to take part in our new, exciting research study to test a personalized health behavior coaching system to improve your health, fitness and prevent weight gain.
We are looking for either office employees with seated desk jobs who are working on-site or from their home in Boston or individuals who may no longer be working but are mostly sedentary, and who wish to improve their physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices. The study lasts 6.5 months and requires three 2-hour visits to the lab for measurement sessions. The remainder of measurements and health coaching will be administered remotely.
To be eligible, volunteers must be between 60 and 85 years of age, have a body mass index (BMI) greater than 25 kg/m2, employed in a seated-desk job or mostly sedentary if no longer working, not use assistive walking devices, and not currently engaged in any structured physical activity or exercise on more than 2 days/week.
