We are looking for someone who would be able to manage volunteers as well as find viable candidates.

Objectives:

  • Manage existing volunteers
    • Check in with volunteers to see progress
    • Maintain records of who is involved, contact information and what they are working on
  • Recruit new volunteers
    • Review Applications
    • Complete screenings
    • Onboard new volunteers
      • Provide initial information
      • Grant access to needed platforms
  • Determine volunteers roles that would further our mission
  • Act as a liason between volunteers and the board

The director and board would be more than willing to assist with any aspect of this, we just need someone who can consistently stay on top of the volunteers

We would need someone who could dedicate at least 2 hours a week but you would be able to do more if you had more availability!

This is completely remote and we work with people across the world so we welcome people in all time zones and locations to volunteer if they feel this is a good fit!

About ENHANCE A VILLAGE

Location:

5855 HORTON ST APT 411, EMERYVILLE, CA 94608, US

Mission Statement

Enhance a Village, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing poverty in developing nations by educating the children and improving their communities.

Description

Enhance a Village is dedicated to eradicating poverty worldwide by ending the cycle of poverty.EAV differentiates itself by not getting immersed in the "hamster wheel" of requesting funds, doing the work, and justifying more funding. EAV’s metric of success is to become redundant when the village has successfully demonstrated independence from the organization’s assistance and be a thriving community. EAV can then move on elsewhere to make an impact and alleviate poverty.

We are currently working in two villages in the Philippines. We have successfully provided access to clean water and are now trying to implement an aquaponics farming system, build community centers for continuing education and help with both COVID-19 and typhoon mitigation.
