This is an opportunity to assist youth academically in a virtual or in-person manner for our three locations (listed below). In-person will follow COVID guidelines to keep everyone safe.
You may volunteer for all days (Monday- Thursday), once a week, or whatever fits into your schedule. Youth struggling from the lack of school attendance need your help. Your participation helps the youth succeed academically in general while teaching valuable skills. Students are encouraged to return when tutors are consistent in their attendance. We ask that you honor your commitment.
Tutoring days are Monday- Thursday from 4 to 5:30 PM at all locations. Math is the primary subject that requires attention, but students may need assistance in other areas. Students' ages can range from 11 years and up. All grade levels are welcome.
Ideally, we would need 3 to 4 tutors in-person at each site for Monday- Thursday, and the rest would be virtual. We will follow Detroit Public School District's COVID policies.
