Patient Care Volunteers are needed in Hawkins, Unicoi, and Greene Counties? We serve patients in their homes and nursing facilities.
Caris Healthcare volunteers help make patients and their families by making a difference in their day to day life the can lend a hand with yard work or sit with the patient so the family can run an errand. We have different opportunities for volunteers which are:
Patient and Family Support: Companionship, Reading, Legacy Projects, Letting the family run an errand or take a break. , any non medical support that is needed.
Administrative Support: Working in our office assisting our Office Manager, answering phones, computer work, filing.
Special Projects: Memory Blankets/Bears/Shirt Pillows. ,Quilts, knitting blankets, creating cards for the patients, Crafts or other projects.
Our program is veteran focused as well. We wish to pair up our veteran patient with veteran volunteers. If you or someone you know is a veteran and would like more info, contact us today!

Description
We are a hospice provider that deals with terminal illnesses and assist the family and patients in meeting their end of life needs. Hospice services include visits from skilled nursing professionals to ensure that patients are comfortable and attended to properly; certified nursing aides to assist and provide for personal care; chaplains to be a source of spiritual support for the patients and their families; and social workers to provide for emotional support and to assist in obtaining financial assistance. Hospice services are available 24/7, 365 days a year.
