About

A Big Brother or Big Sister takes the time to listen, give advice and lets a child know what they have to say is meaningful. It's sitting down and listening to what's going on in a child's life, it's trips to the park, afternoons shopping, watching a movie or playing a sport, but most of all it's fun and rewarding! Volunteers come from all walks of life, economic levels, job situations and backgrounds. Almost anyone can be a "Big"; you must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and be able to commit to seeing a child for only 4 hours a month. If interested, please call the Big Brothers Big Sisters Program at Child & Family Services, 508-990-0894.
