We have an exciting new program and you can be apart of it!
Bristol Hospice has designed a program for our patients who have become increasingly isolated due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Isolation has compounded the effects of disconnection and loneliness in aging adults and high-risk populations. The program is "Wired for Connection". Our team of volunteer Connection Companions will assist in facilitating meaningful tele-connection visits by providing in-person support for those who lack the technological expertise, fine motor skills, or cognitive ability to independently operate a device.
Through video-calling we are hoping to lessen the effects.
If you are interested, please feel free to contact me so we can discuss the details and training.

Mission Statement
As a team, we combine compassion with the art and science of medicine to help patients and families live life to its fullest.
Description
Bristol Hospice works together with patients and their families to enhance their quality of life. When focus of medical care changes from cure to comfort, Optimal Hospice can provide physical, emotional, practical and spiritual support for the entire family. Combined with a compassionate support system, hospice helps to reduce the overwhelming stress and anxiety that can come along with caring for a loved one with a life limiting illness. Volunteers provide in-home respite care for families/caregivers and provide companionship for our patients.
