VOLUNTEER POSITION:

The Stone Soup Project is seeking a "fundraising guru", someone who will ensure that we are able to continue our work in feeding and providing for homeless and other under served populations in Waukesha County.

The Stone Soup Project is providing a vital service to individuals and families who are in crisis, are long-term homeless, or are temporarily in need. We currently serve hot, nutritious meals at a central location two days per week and hope to expand our reach and the range of services offered.

Funding needs include our ongoing operating budget as well as a capital appeal to raise funds so that we can purchase a food truck.

About The Stone Soup Project

Location:

1200 Willow Grove Drive, Pewaukee, WI 53072, US

Mission Statement

To bring hot, nutritious meals to individuals and families where they are.

Description

The Stone Soup Project was born of a lifelong desire to defeat hunger, combined with a true passion for cooking and serving. We are bringing meals directly to the people who need them, along with clothing, toiletry items, and other essentials. As we come to know the people in the community we are learning of greater ways in which we can serve them and enhance their quality of life. We are fundraising for both our ongoing operating budget and to purchase a food truck, which will give us great freedom and reach into less populated geographical areas. Often, hunger is hidden and needs are unseen. We intend to uncover those areas and fulfill them. We have been operational just over two weeks and have met and come to know many people, we have served nearly one hundred meqals, and we have provided comfort, friendship, and love to our sisters and brothers.
