Bereavement volunteers work closely with the Bereavement Team and families of our patients that have passed away.
Some of the Bereavement Volunteer opportunities can be performed remotely.
Examples of volunteer opportunities:
- Assist with Memorial Services
- Make follow-up phone calls to families of our patients that have lost loved ones.
- Help with Memorial Service Mailings
- Assist with grief support groups
Bereavement Volunteers are able to use their unique skills to assist staff. Most importantly, those skills are put to use to comfort those that are hurting.
Volunteers will go through a state background check (at the expense of the company), and must participate in an orientation class.
