Looking for volunteers to help with mowing lawns and essential yard maintenance for seniors in Faribault. You would be matched with an older adult, and you would help that specific homeowner for the summer. Some homeowners have lawn mowers for volunteers to use, but others don’t. If you don’t have your own or can’t transport, we’d match you with someone that has one.
Lawn mowing is usually completed weekly, depending on the amount of rain, how fast or slow the grass is growing, etc. If you know that you’ll be out of town or unavailable for a period of time just let us know, and we will find an alternate volunteer to help mow during that time.

Family Service Rochester (FSR) is a community-based, nonprofit organization that provides a wide range of services addressing mental health, child wellbeing, family stability, and senior independence.
FSR was founded in 1965 with a staff of three and the mission to support and enhance the dignity and quality of life for individuals and families in the community. From that small start-up offering counseling and homemaker services, the agency has grown to provide more than 30 programs to meet ever-changing community needs. Volunteers are vital to excellent service delivery to those individuals and families we work with.
