We offer many opportunities for caring volunteers to show their talents and compassion to Cancer Clients and their families. We offer flexible schedules. Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm.

We are currently open by appointment only and are following all COVID 19 CDC Social Distancing Guidelines to keep Cancer Clients, Volunteers and staff as safe as possible. Mask are required, daily temperature checks are taken and social distancing is followed.

Front Desk Receptionist/Greeter:
Answering phones, taking appointments for pick-up, assist clients in filling out client forms, inputting information to Access,
Data Entry/Administrative
Inputting client and/or donor information. Helping with special events and writing greeting and or sympathy cards.
Clean and sanitize both donated or returned items such as medical equipment, medical supplies, etc. Making sure items are stickered and ready for disbursement. Moving and restocking items which includes lifting items up to 20lbs. Assist Office staff with gathering items for services being picked up. Getting garbage gathered for weekly pickup.
General Assistance
Assembling welcome totes, folding brochures, preparing mailings, water plants, shredding papers and daily cleaning to uphold CDC guidelines.
Special Events
Helping with mail-outs, preparing for or participating in special events, picking up donations, set-up/take down.
Providing a special caring touch and experience to clients in need of wig fitting, prosthesis and accessories. Restocking items as needed. Washing, cleaning, vacuuming and sanitizing items and room in between appointments.
Willing to provide comfortable and safe transportation for clients to cancer treatment appointments. Volunteers use their own reliable cars. Additional information and documentation will be needed.

    This position is 9am-3pm but we are flexible based on schedule of volunteer. Mon-Fri.

Cancer Services is a patient-centered charity serving area families since 1960. We started our services in Erie county and have since added Huron and Ottawa county to our serving areas.

We are committed to providing services and support to individuals and their families living with a cancer diagnosis. WE assist in reducing the financial and emotional stress that comes after a diagnosis.

Cancer Services is a unique organization that allows donations, both monetary and in-kind, to stay within our community serving those who live here.

We provide services such as Nutrition and Hydration, Prescription Assistance, Travel Services/Reimbursements, Medical Supplies and Equipment and Boutique for wig fittings and Mastectomy supplies.
