Mission Statement
We are a community based, non-profit Basic Life Support Ambulance Association doing approximately 2,600 emergency calls annually. Our Association is a combination Department with both Volunteer and Career EMS staff and we have proudly served the residents of Silver Spring Township and surrounding areas for over 50 years. We strive to provide Capable, Competent and Compassionate care to all whom we serve during their hours of need. We also provide training and support services to other area non-profits and corporations.
Description
We are a Combination Volunteer and Career organization focused on delivering quality care through our Emergency Response service. Opportunities exist for Volunteer providers of all types from helping to staff and respond on the Ambulances to providing administrative, mechanical or operations assistance. We have 3 Ambulances equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a facility that includes training and kitchen areas in addition to our EMS Operation. We welcome interest of all types beginning with 'Ride Alongs' to investigate your interest in our Primary Mission and provide training and pathways to becoming an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), EMT Advanced or Paramedic. Our Basic Life Support Crews work hand in hand with Paramedics from Penn State/Hershey EMS to provide 24/7/365 Emergency response coverage. We are always welcome to new volunteers for any aspect of the Association.
