Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier nonprofit organizations, is a 127-year old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated human services --social, educational, legal, health, housing, mental health and fitness--which significantly improve the lives of thousands of people in need each year ages 3 to 103, on the East Side of Manhattan.

We are seeking an educator or retired educator to tutor one of our pre-school teachers in math as she works towards passing the math exam for her teacher certification.

Description

Lenox Hill Neighborhood House was founded in 1894 by the Alumnae Association of Normal College (now known as Hunter College of the City University of New York) as a free kindergarten for the children of indigent immigrants. Since then, we have remained at the forefront of community advocacy and social and educational change.
