Each day, people are forced from their homes due to fires, storms, and other disasters. Join the American Red Cross team that responds to more than 60,000 emergencies every year - the vast majority of which are home fires. Our volunteers help families with their immediate needs, ensuring they don’t face tough times alone. If you are team-oriented and want to make a difference, please consider joining a local Disaster Action Team. With experience, we may also ask you to help on larger national disasters. All travel & lodging costs covered. No prior experience required, just bring your desire to help. We’ll supply all the training... plus you’ll meet new friends along the way.
