Are you interested in having a direct impact on the lives of street dogs from the comfort of your own home? We have a unique opportunity for you to help street dogs in Kyiv, Ukraine. In Ukraine, thousands of homeless dogs roam the streets. Many are sick or injured, do not have any food to eat, and endure extreme heat in the summer and extreme cold in the winter. Ukraine does not have any organized animal control systems, and adopting rescue animals is a new concept.

Homeless dogs are not euthanized by the government, rather they live their lives on the streets where they are in constant danger of being shot or poisoned by those who see the dogs as a nuisance. Other dogs live their lives in outdoor, underfunded shelters where they often suffer and die like those on the streets.

In this role you will help us recruit foster volunteers from expat groups and other websites for expats. We will train you, and you will shadow an experienced coordinator until you are comfortable with the process.

Duties:

• Work with Case Managers to post dogs when they are adoption-ready, and to remove ads when dogs are adopted.
• Coordinate with photographers to get adoption photos
• Maintain records in Google Docs concerning each dog’s adoption ad status
• Post dogs on OLX in Russian/Ukrainian language
• Create cute, eye-catching posts on Instagram in Ukrainian and English languages
• Use Instagram’s advertising platform to target audience for adoption dogs in the Kyiv, Ukraine area

Requirements:

• Must be fluent in writing English, Russian and Ukrainian languages.
• Must be diplomatic and a team player; must be fine engaging with other volunteers.
• Familiar using Google Docs
• Familiar with OLX.com and the popular rescue adoption Facebook groups in Ukraine (see list below.)
• Have experience with Instagram and willing to learn how to create boosted, targeted ads
