We are a California 501(c)(3) and we need someone to keep our books and file our taxes. We are looking for someone with knowledge and experience with non-profits who will help us to keep our financials in good order and to file our taxes each year.


Duties:

  • Enter (post) financial transactions into Wave.
  • Put costs (debits) and income (credits) into the software, assigning each to an appropriate account
  • Produce reports, such as balance sheets, income statements etc.
  • Create our annual report infographic each year
  • Research requirements for donation solicitation for each state and register our non-profit; keep track of paperwork and filing deadlines for each state.
  • File 990 with IRS
  • File all required non-profit state filings

Requirements:

  • Have experience with, and comfortable using accounting software websites like Wave.
  • Have experience keeping books with a nonprofit organization
  • Have experience with state and federal filings
  • Self-starter, willing and able to do research to fulfill requirements
