Looking for volunteers to participate in Making Strides Against Breast Cancer outreach. These calls are crucial to our mission and a rewarding opportunity to connect with survivors, fundraisers and participants. Volunteers will be responsible for providing October’s event details along with registration and fundraising info. Volunteers should be comfortable making calls from a "warm" list - no cold calling. Help us inspire folks to get signed up and fundraising for this year’s event!

Mission Statement

The American Cancer Society started Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks to unite communities in the fight against this deadly disease. Today, Making Strides is the largest network of breast cancer events in the nation - and we do more than just walk. We raise money to help the American Cancer Society fund groundbreaking breast cancer research and provide patient services like free rides to chemo, free places to stay near treatment, and a live 24/7 cancer helpline. But we can’t do any of this without the help of people like you.

Description

The Making Strides movement raises lifesaving funds that support breast cancer patients, survivors, thrivers, and caregivers through every step of the journey. We’ve enhanced digital offerings available to anyone across the nation, including one-on-one breast cancer patient support services and the use of video chat to safely connect patients, caregivers, and family members with valuable services and resources through our website, in addition to a 24/7 helpline.

For more information about breast cancer, how to find it early, and how to help finish the fight against the disease, visit our our breast cancer information resources online or contact the American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345 anytime, day or night.
