Due to Covid-19, temperature checks and completion of a brief questionnaire are required upon entering the office. Masks are required to be worn when not at the workspace. Work areas/cubical have walls, are sanitized between each use, and persons are seated 6 feet apart. Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available as needed.
Join the Homeland Hospice Team and share your office and computer skills! The Administrative Support Volunteer will work directly with the Assistant Director of Development by processing acknowledgement/thank-you letters to donors. On-the-job training, a letter template, and support are provided. Assistance is needed on Fridays between the hours of 8:30 AM-4:30 PM, as letters are sent promptly after donations have been documented on Thursday. The amount of work will vary from week to week dependent on the number of donations; approximately 1-3 hours. The interested volunteer must:
Present a professional appearance and a friendly manner
Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
Respect and maintain confidentiality of Homeland Hospice patients, volunteers, partners, and donors
Have a detailed understanding of Microsoft Word
The volunteer is required to complete a volunteer orientation that can be completed at home and at your own pace, through our self-study training. Those interested are also required to complete a background check and 2-step PPD (TB) test. Any expenses are covered by Homeland Hospice. An office orientation will also be provided regarding the job specifics.
If interested, additional office opportunities, such as making phone calls, scanning, faxing, photocopying and more, are available!
Enjoy office comradery, coffee and snacks while working!
