Mission Statement

Founded and run by formerly homeless youth and their allies, the Youth Empowered Society (YES) works to end homelessness in Baltimore by supporting currently/formerly homeless youth to become leaders in our community and by providing desperately needed, direct services, to youth who are experiencing homelessness.

Description

The YES Drop-In Center is Baltimore City’s first and only drop-in center for homeless youth, providing a safe space for youth who are experiencing homelessness and between the ages of 14-25. We service youth by allowing them to get their basic needs met while establishing supportive relationships with peer staff and allies that assists them in sustaining connections to long-term resources and opportunities. Our goal is to provide all of our youth with permanent housing and to eventually end youth homelessness in Baltimore.
