Amedisys Hospice is looking for open hearted individuals in the Hampton Roads, VA area who have at least 4-8 hours per month to share with our patients and their families.
* WHAT DO WE DO? Due to COVID restrictions, volunteers are doing all they can behind the scenes and virtually reaching out to our patients by making phone calls to families to check in on supplies and other needs, preparing holiday cards, reaching out to veterans and more. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, volunteers will resume in person visits such as pet companionship, respite visits to patients' homes and facilities and veteran honoring ceremonies.
* WHAT'S REQUIRED? 4-8 hours per month after application and training
* CAN I TRY OUT DIFFERENT OPPORTUNITIES? Absolutely! You can make calls and provide visits or be a part of our Birthday Party team which celebrates this special day with our patients and their families. This program benefits our volunteers so they can help our patients.
