Coach a team of girls to complete their first 5K! Inspire a girl to be joyful, healthy and confident!

Position:
Girls on the Run is recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic coaches for the Spring 2022 season! Volunteer coaches are needed in San Francisco, Contra Costa, Alameda, Marin and San Mateo counties. Our coaches are parents, educators, community members, and college students who are committed to developing and celebrating our girls.

Time Commitment: Practices are held twice a week for 75 minutes. Lesson preparation takes about two hours per week. We will provide you with training, curriculum, and supplies- everything you will need to be an engaging and effective Girls on the Run coach!

Qualifications:

You do not need to be a runner or a competitive athlete to be a successful coach! You will serve as a role model by showing up prepared and on time, listening attentively, having a positive attitude, and by leading a healthy lifestyle! Coaches encourage their teams, lead them through proper stretching and running games, facilitate lessons to explore emotional issues faced by girls of their age range, and discuss the importance of nutrition and physical activity.
