Round Lake Food Pantry Helper
Catholic Charities, Lake County Services
Catholic Charities has opened a food pantry in Round Lake, Illinois, at 101 N Cedar Lake Road. The pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays with two shifts - one from 10 am to noon and the other from 2 - 4 pm. People in need of food call in to a volunteer to register. Once registered, the information is sent to the Food Pantry where another volunteer, gathers the food items and delivers them to the waiting vehicle.
COVID protocols are in place to keep you safe. As with all employees who enter the building, volunteers are required to answer screening questions and have their temperature taken each time they volunteer. Volunteers helping with registration will be in an office by themselves; volunteers helping with delivery wear masks and load the cars while the clients wait in the vehicle.
