This month, Zakat Foundation of America, has a goal to build 100 water sources by digging and installing hand pumps and wells that will provide a source of safe, clean water to communities worldwide, in addition to letting us teach water and sanitation awareness to communities and provide critical testing for arsenic contamination. We will have weekly challenges and if you complete them all, you will receive a Zakat Foundation Water Scarcity Ambassador certificate. For the first challenge, you can "save change to save lives" by filling old, used plastic water bottles with loose change to help support water projects with Zakat Foundation. Any amount helps! The team with the most funds collected will be given special recognition on all our social media channels, website, and will receive an honorable mention from our Executive Director. As a humanitarian relief and development organization, Zakat Foundation endeavors to adhere to the core humanitarian principles set forth in the code of conduct for the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement and NGOs in Disaster Relief, particularly its provisions on humanity, impartiality, independence and neutrality.
