Volunteers of America Texas Lakeview Place Senior Housing site (Houston area)is seeking an enthusiastic Instructor to teach and lead senior citizens (62 years of age and above) in yoga classes. A n English-speaking instructor that speaks some Korean and some Spanish is preferred . The days that are preferred for the instructional period are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (flexible; from 9:00AM -11:00AM. Instructors will be expected to assist with area setup, clean and sanitize yoga equipment between sessions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in working with Sr. Citizens is preferred.
  • Able to teach the following: l ow impact yoga, c hair yoga, pilates
  • Body weight workouts
  • Dumbbell strength training

NOTE: CDC guidelines will be adhered to, spaces will be marked for social distancing guidelines and masks will be required.

Lakeview Place is a high-rise affordable apartment community for seniors age 62 and older and for disabled persons 18 and older who need the features of the accessible unit.

  • Background Check
  • Must be at least 18
