We are seeking volunteers that would be able to visit our patients in Fairfield, New Haven and Hartford counties. Compassus volunteers make a positive difference in the lives of our patients.
As we serve a vast area of Connecticut, we match volunteers with patients close to their home. Many of our patients live in skilled nursing facilities, but we also care for those being cared for in their private homes. Volunteers help our patients by providing them support through simple companionship, reading to them, playing music, watching TV, applying lotion to their hands, and most importantly listening to their life story. We ask that our volunteers commit to working at least two hours a month. Volunteers may make their visits flexible to fit their schedule Monday-Sunday during the hours of 8:00am-8:00pm. The length of visit times will vary depending on the needs of the patients.
WE ARE IN SPECIAL NEED OF PET THERAPISTS OR MUSIC THERAPIST OR MUSICIANS WHO CAN SHARE THEIR TALENTS WITH OUR PATIENTS
