We are looking for creative and patient coaches to join our fantastic coaching team and help us develop a new cheerleading team which will serve girls (ages 8 to 12) from August, 2021 to June, 2022. Please visit www.soulphamm.org to learn more about our organization.
The team (named the SoulDeevas) is registered under the Amateur Athletic League which opens up opportunities for competition and performance on local, regional and national scales. The team will support our new basketball team and the Coaches will help us find additional opportunities for the girls to grow in their love of cheerleading.
We would anticipate our practices being held at the Pearl Studios in Manhattan (8th Avenue & West 35th Street) in Midtown Manhattan. Practice would officially begin in August - but the work in planning for your team begins now.
Coaching experience is not required, but cheerleading experience is CRITICAL. A sense of humor is also very important. We are hoping for someone who can start right away (and observe our other programs as they close out their current season).
Interested candidates should respond letting us know about their cheerleading experience and any burning questions that they have. We will respond immediately.

Description
Friends of MJHS ("Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of generating contributions, pledges and funds for the development and ongoing support of Citadel Academy Prep School (CAPS), a school that will provide students in grades 6-8 with a high quality Christian education through a well balanced, yet challenging curriculum that ministers to the spirit, soul and body.
Friends will also provide funds, management and ongoing support of The SoulDeevas Performing Arts Company, a character building sports and arts program that will serve all youth regardless of their religious affiliation. The SoulDeevas will include programs that provide activities, resources and support during critical out-of-school time hours in a safe, nurturing environment that works from a strengths-based, youth development perspective.
