The Sequoia HS Digital Arts Academy is a California Partnership Academy, one of five in our school district and one of 500+ throughout the state of California, each with its own industry focus providing hands-on experiences for students to prepare them for their future careers.
We are hosting a symposium for the sophomores in our program to learn more about multimedia, filmmaking, and the broader topics of communication and marketing.
Join us for Career Roundtables: professionals will speak in a small group format about their career, educational background, give a brief job description, and offer the pros & cons of their field. Students will have 20 minutes with two professionals and then rotate to a second pair of professionals.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

Established in 1895, Sequoia High School is the oldest high school in the San Francisco Bay Area between San Francisco and San Jose. Founded as a preparatory school for Stanford University, today it serves approximately 2000 students in grades nine through twelve. Sequoia is conveniently located in downtown Redwood City, one block from the Caltrain station, and less than 20 minutes north of the Stanford campus.
"My goal, my dream, is that every student can go to a school like this one... Sequoia is an amazing school... We want to take the lessons learned here and share them. This is a remarkable success story in the making." - Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of Education, September 12, 2012.
"Clearly, Sequoia is a wonderful school, with a strong staff, and an extraordinarily supportive administration. There is a strong sense of community, genuine caring, and will to ensure student success that seldom exists in high schools today." - Western Association of Schools and Colleges California State Department of Education (WASC).
