This volunteer/volunteer group would assist HVAF with planning events for our veterans at one of our housing facilities. We would love to plan events and small gatherings for the veterans a couple of evening a week or on the weekends. It would give the veterans something positive and constructive to do. Most of the planning could be done remotely. Ideally the volunteer/volunteer group would be on-site to run the activities (evenings/weekends).

Description
During 2020, HVAF of Indiana provided 1,453 with 33,621 services. 337 veterans were permanently housed and 190 veterans found jobs through HVAF. HVAF offer multiple housing programs such as Rapid Rehousing (short-term rental and utility assistance for those that are homeless or facing eviction), Transitional housing (120 veterans are housed each night in temporary housing with intensive case management), and Permanent Supportive Housing (47 units at 5 properties have supportive housing with case management).
HVAF has employment specialists to help our veterans build their resumes, hold mock interviews and place them in a job that's right for them.
Every day HVAF's Street Outreach Specialist goes out into Indy's homeless camps and serves the veterans in need.
