ORGANIZATION: USS Midway Museum

Ship's Restoration volunteers are critical members who contribute unique skills to revitalize, restore and repair various areas of USS MIDWAY in support of the museum's primary mission of PRESERVING a historic navy ship. Projects focus on transforming ship spaces/compartments from a stagnant decommissioned state to a fully restored or transformed status suitable for the museum's operational needs. Tasks may include removing old hardware or furniture, polishing brass, and maintaining original equipment such as the ship's fans and machinery. Candidates must be safety conscientious and able to follow directions while working as a dedicated team member.
