ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross - Tennessee Region

Purpose:To assist blood donors and staff to help check in at blood donors. Volunteer will act as receptionist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take temperatures if self-service kiosk not available
  • Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
  • Donor Receptionists welcome donors, help check in donor, distribute required reading material, and maintain a smooth donor flow
  • Refreshment Assistants offer refreshments to donors, alert the Collection staff if a donor needs assistance and thanks the donor for their donation
  • Ensure donors have a positive experience

Time Commitment: Two to six hours depending on length of blood drive

Blood drives are every;
Monday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and
Wednesday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm

Qualifications:

  • Good communication/public relations skills
  • Understands and preserves donor confidentiality
  • Is willing to work as part of a team and takes direction
  • Professional
  • Committed to providing quality care to blood donors
  • All volunteer must pass a background check
