Purpose:To assist blood donors and staff to help check in at blood donors. Volunteer will act as receptionist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take temperatures if self-service kiosk not available
- Willingness to support Red Cross Mission
- Donor Receptionists welcome donors, help check in donor, distribute required reading material, and maintain a smooth donor flow
- Refreshment Assistants offer refreshments to donors, alert the Collection staff if a donor needs assistance and thanks the donor for their donation
- Ensure donors have a positive experience
Time Commitment: Two to six hours depending on length of blood drive
Blood drives are every;
Monday from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and
Wednesday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
Qualifications:
- Good communication/public relations skills
- Understands and preserves donor confidentiality
- Is willing to work as part of a team and takes direction
- Professional
- Committed to providing quality care to blood donors
- All volunteer must pass a background check
