Literacy Minnesota - Open Door Learning Centers
Literacy Minnesota is looking for volunteers to assist in a virtual Beginning English (ESL) classroom. The class is from 3:00-4:30 PM on Zoom and volunteers are currently needed on Mondays and Wednesdays. Volunteers would assist a professional ESL teacher with years of experience working with beginning English learners. They will receive training and direction from the teacher on how to help students. Sometimes, they may take a small group of students into a Zoom "breakout room" or work with a student 1:1 who needs extra help.
Details:
We strongly encourage volunteers who are people of color, indigenous, immigrants and refugees, LGBTQIA2S+ and people with disabilities.
Location:
The class will be held online using the Zoom video call application.
