Help us expand our story beyond the completed episodes of a powerful tale about inclusion, disability, empathy and tolerance. We're looking for a script narrative designer to work with our team of writers for a unique make your own adventure kind of game/visual novel where the player makes choices for the main character that change the outcome of the game play and the outcome of each scene. The issues are disguised as a dark and gritty murder mystery, to pull the viewer in and have them stay for empathy.

Our goal is to elevate the concept of disability from something seen as limited and niche using a unique project that has potential of having broad appeal while having a real message, meaning and purpose. We are developing the world's first video game about a character who finds himself in a wheelchair and goes through the five stages of grieving, elevating the concept of disability from something seen as limited and niche using a unique project that has potential of having broad appeal while having a real message, meaning and purpose. We are developing the world's first video game about a character who finds himself in a wheelchair and goes through the five stages of grieving after an accident. On his journey he is faced with a number of issues people in his life have faced he isn't aware of, from racism to abuse to homophobia. Our key message is that everybody has something they struggle with, although some issues are more visible than others. We want this project to turn into an educational program where people with disabilities and veterans can get skills to succeed in the competitive gaming industry while working on a project that talks about their community. And the same time, noting the rise of empathy in gaming we think it's a more powerful medium allowing users to experience real emotions from the safety of their couch.

We are at the stage of producing a 2 scene demo for the game. Our team already includes interns and volunteers that have faced struggles in their life: wheelchair users, deaf and hard of hearing, chemo survivors, members of the LGBT community. We have the 5 episode summary and the first episode script. We are lacking the business development aspect that is required to secure our relatively smaller budget.

The ideal candidate will be required to:

- Offer constructive feedback to the writers via direct comments on their Google Docs scenes.
- Identify inconsistencies and (when possible) offer solutions to any inconsistencies.
- Attend half hour meetings every other week.
The ideal write will:
- Be able to follow a story-rich plot with multiple moving pieces.

  • Be unafraid to offer their peers constructive criticism.
- Have experience in storytelling or a desire to hone their skills in story editing!
- Be very familiar with Google Drive, especially Google Docs.
- Have internet and access to a computer or electronic device that can access Google Docs.
