This is:
An essential role within Green Eyes of Ecology to create linguistic journals that supports and express our ecological thinking through the power of words.

We need you to:
We are seeking applications from candidates whose background, experience and identity broadens and enhances the diversity of our existing team. The successful candidate will have expertise in corpus linguistics, including the ability to build new corpora, and in using corpus-based approaches to discourse analysis. A background in working with external organisations and/or in areas of environmental communication would be an advantage.

The bare minimum we need from you is:

• formal qualification in linguistics

Ideally, we would like to see:
A passion for analytical writing shown through perspectives, journals, blogs etc with the potential to stretch beyond the world of ecology.

And the technical skills needed for the role are:
Slack / GoogleDrive applications / MSOffice / Zoom / UAM-CT or other Corpus Tools.

The role in detail
i. Strategic focus

Working closely with the team at strategy development stage, to develop:

• Verbal strategies: Creating strategies that define the unique voice, language and character of ecological journals.
• Naming: Title creation and definition for journals and abstract development across projects.
• Compliance: Conduct legal and references on naming and sourcing of journals.
• Ideas & Discoveries: Expressing big ecological ideas and shaping core discoveries as an essential part of GEECOs strategies.
• Research: Creating highly impactful pieces of ecological research (e.g. discourse analysis, new corpora, etc.) to bring to life powerful ecological visions.
• Analysis: Verbal audits and language analysis on ecology, category and cultural level to inform and inspire strategies/solutions.

1. Creative focus
   Working closely with the team at creative expression stage, to develop:

• Words for research: Exploring creative concepts with the team and creating powerful research as part of GEECOS expressions.
• Developing journals: Developing and editing journals and creating guidelines for ecological discourse analysis creation.
• Copywriting & Rollout: Rolling out and crafting specific copy across the journal experience (e.g. front of journal, articles, website, social media)

iii. Compliance
Adhere to GEECOS principles when performing naming checks, and when creating all support material and internal and external presentations.
