Seeking volunteers to serve 6 months or longer on a team of volunteers working together to provide support to the adhd community in Morris county. ***MUST BE ABLE TO WORK INDEPENDENTLY AND BE A SELF STARTER!! ABILITY TO HOST MEETINGS A BIG PLUS!

Chadd Volunteer Roles

Social Media Representative

  • Oversee the website, meetup group and facebook page and group to determine what is needed.
  • Dialogue with members via the chat feature to welcome new members, get them to add a photo, keep rsvp’s up to date and follow up after meetings to check in for feedback.
  • Make regular posts on our group to generate friendly conversation and draw people out of their shells.
  • This role can be broken into smaller parts once the needs are determined and the responsibilities more established.

Resource Coordinator

  • Ongoing outreach to local and online resources that gear their services to the ADHD community.
  • Create a form email to let them know who we are and how we are looking to collaborate with them to help families get connected to needed services.
  • Create a list of affiliates from prior speaker events (Shivya)
  • Create a list of prospective speakers by category. Identify whether they accept insurance or offer low fees.

Speaker Liaison

  • Coordinate with the resource coordinator to do outreach to the speakers identified. Phone and email outreach is acceptable. Schedule speakers for the next 3 months.
  • Create guidelines for speakers asking for dates, topics, bios, etc. Ensure topic relevance and best timing.
  • Follow up with them to obtain any handouts and connect them to meetup. Track rsvp’s as the event approaches in case there isn’t a good turnout and the event needs to be rescheduled or canceled.
  • Send thank you emails and invite them to connect in the future or invite other professionals they may know in the community. **Ask them about their willingness to be listed on our website as an affiliate.

Volunteer Coordinato r

  • Onboard all new volunteers, respond to email inquiries, communicate with volunteers about their efforts and progress, discuss role assignments based on their skills and interests. Explain the roles above and connect them to other volunteers to begin tasks. Ensure they understand what to do and how to go about it and provide support as they get acclimated.

Meeting Hosts -All volunteers

  • Attend meetings whenever possible to help out with being a meeting host or assistant. Admit people into the meetings. Keep track of themes and needed resources. Help provide contact information and links to email and facebook during the meetings.

  • Must be at least 21
  • Orientation or Training
  • 2 hours/week for a minimum of six months. Self starters!!
