Mission Statement

Take Trips MES (mentally, emotionally and spiritually), will work tirelessly to ensure that incarcerated and detention youth of color will benefit from adequate aftercare programs and services once they have been released from the system.

Description

Take Trips MES, was established by its founder Barbara King, who has educated juveniles in secure juvenile facilities for over ten years. As well as being an educator for over twenty years. The goal is to bring much needed awareness to the lack of aftercare programs and services that youth of color need to benefit from as they transition back into their communities.

Once all is in place Take Trips MES, will provide the youth with mentors, a counselor, clothing for job interviews, travel funds, community services, parental support, etc.

However, we are in the beginning stages and seek volunteers for social media content, and business management, as Barbara focus on meeting with entities such as, children services, probation and parole officers, the court system, and parents.
