Opportunity to link services to those who need it most
Volunteer would assist the Catholic Charities Parish Access Center Program Manager with screening a high volume of calls from people in need. The Parish Access Center receives a number of grants to assist families and individuals with housing and basic necessities. Phone screeners interview the client to determine eligibility for the grants and arrange appointments for those that qualify. Training is provided.

Description

It is the purpose of Catholic Charities to support and advance the mission of charity and justice in the Archdiocese of Newark. Catholic Charities seeks to build the human assets of the communities it serves (Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union counties) through the compassionate delivery of innovative social service, behavioral health, and education programs.
Last year Catholic Charities served over 70,000 people in need. Catholic Charites has over 75 programs in 30 locations throughout the four county area. Catholic Charities provides services that are of the highest quality, efficiently administered and demonstrably needed by the communities it serves.
During the past several months of the Covid19 pandemic, Catholic Charities has provided many essential services to the community and remained open throughout to assist those in need
