JFS is seeking volunteers with mental health experience to co-facilitate our Orthodox Women's Divorce Support Group.

Volunteers with a master's degree in any mental health field can co-facilitate this support group alongside a JFS staff member. In need of volunteers who are:

  1. Religious/observant - knows the ins and outs of the Orthodox Jewish world and how divorce would impact women specifically through that lens or someone who has some personal experience with Orthodoxy
  2. Familiar with the process of group work
  3. Has effective communication skills
  4. Available for evening sessions

The group will take place every other Tuesday for one hour at 7:30pm. The group will start in the next couple of weeks and will be only on zoom due to the high numbers of COVID cases in the orthodox community.

JFS has a long history of providing support groups in a number of areas such as, bereavement, caregiving, special needs, and more. Volunteers must have a minimum of a master's degree in a mental health related field. Groups are currently being held virtually but will be held in person once it is safe to do so.
