Mission Statement

Provide a road map to college and careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and provide opportunities that enhance academic excellence, personal growth, and professional development to local students who traditionally have not been well represented and exposed to STEM.

Description

STEM Education and Innovation (STEM EIC) is a non-profit 501c3 organization that has been serving youth in the Stafford and Fredericksburg area for 10 years. Since its inception, STEM EIC has offered unique opportunities for youth involvement through After-School STEM Clubs, Mentoring, Workshops, Camps on Technology, and Student Internship Opportunities, STEM Competitions and Events. STEM EIC programs are part of an effort to help close the gap of the number of African American youth and students of color pursuing STEM careers. STEM EIC has responded to these gaps in STEM education by providing many exciting opportunities to local students who traditionally have not been well represented and exposed to STEM.
