The goal is to advocate for gender equality & rights of women, which is even more important in the current COVID-19 scenario. The team has interest in promoting information materials for peripartum health during this period (especially for pregnant women), working on ensuring continued access to contraception, supporting awareness about violence against females & advocating for support, generating awareness & advocating for safe abortion services(sexual & reproductive rights of women), helping to ensure better hygiene facilities & practices.

Mission Statement

#Students_Against_COVID aims to bring students & allies together across the globe to create a common platform to share ideas, brainstorm together, & collaborate if possible during the Coronavirus Pandemic. Our 1000+ volunteers hail from all different backgrounds-- students, young professionals, & allies alike-- and come from 90+ nations! We further strive to shape the future direction of our movement to better meet the 17 global sustainability goals developed by the United Nations. We value students’ and allies’ voices, and we want to enable a culture that empowers their ability to make an impact across the globe long after this pandemic.

Description

#Students_Against_COVID volunteers hail from all different backgrounds-- whether it be professional backgrounds, career choices, age, and especially location! Our volunteers partake in one of 25+ initiatives and many using our network to create and lead their own initiatives. We would love to have you on board!
