The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Intern Recruitment & Development Associate to join our Student Internship Team and provide creative ideas to help achieve our goals. You will have strong communication and management skills in leading, developing and executing the student internship program.

As the Intern Recruitment & Development Associate, you will collaborate with all business groups in all stages of the onboarding and offboarding of the Student Internship Program (SIP). Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our student internship program.

To give you an idea of what to expect as an Intern Recruitment & Development Associate:


What you will be responsible for...

  • Carries out recruitment and outreach activities to appropriate institutions and organizations;
  • During off-peak periods, incumbent is responsible for developing partnerships with target institutions and organizations to attract talented interns;
  • Post internship positions to appropriate sites and post-secondary institution student career sites;
  • Works with the IT team to post internship positions on the website as required;
  • Refresh internship postings as necessary;
  • Manage and track intern applications;
  • Screens and conduct first-round interviews with prospective interns;
  • Forwards interview notes to Associate: Internship Coordination and Engagement;
  • Ensure directors and managers are adhering to the Student Internship Handbook and Policy guidelines.
  • Increasing SEO of our website using keywords as developed by our Web Analysts.
  • Be willing to attend virtual meetings in EST timezone (GMT -4:00) and respond to emails within 36 hours.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Student Internship Manager.

  • Very comfortable working in a virtual team environment incorporating group problem-solving; shares information and responsibility.
  • Committed to attending team meetings. Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
  • Outgoing, persistent and energetic. Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to handle requests and complaints in a professional, non-confrontational manner.
  • Creative problem solving skills, capacity for innovation.
  • Enjoy taking initiative, adaptable, and able to work under pressure.
  • Post-secondary education.

Requirements

  • Experience in a post-secondary environment and student-facing role.
  • Comfortable learning and using a variety of technical solutions to complete project deliverables.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and life cycles.
  • Experience using Google product applications or GSuite.
