Wow! We've loved the response to our Volunteer Evenings. Don't miss the next one on March 11 for volunteers interested in our Flashcard Campaign. We’ll talk about why flashcards are needed in our classrooms and how you can make French to English flashcards for our students.
You do not need any language skills (we provide lists of the French and English words) to participate in this campaign. This is a really fun project if you like to draw, but it is not required! The volunteer need is on-going, so you can volunteer for an hour or for 10 hours...it is totally up to you. So come learn how to do this and then get flash-carding!
This event is free but you must RSVP. Previous Volunteer Evenings have filled up, so RSVP today!
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About MALI RISING FOUNDATION
PO BOX 277, SALT LAKE CTY, UT 84110, US
Mali Rising Foundation envisions a quality middle school education within walking distance for every child in Mali’s rural villages. We focus on middle school education as a key but weak link in the opportunities for Mali’s children to build better, healthier lives and communities. Our mission is to empower the children of Mali, West Africa by expanding and improving educational opportunities for them within their own villages. We see this education empowering children to go on to futures that improve their own lives, but also the fate of their villages and of Mali as a whole.
All of our work is done in long-term partnership with small, rural villages in southern Mali. Our work focuses on three program areas. We provide children in rural villages with access to:
1) School: We build safe, sustainable schools and provide on-going partnerships for maintenance.
2) Learning: We strengthen our schools’ abilities to deliver high quality education to students.
3) Inspiration: We help our students pursue their vocational and educational futures, whatever they may be.
