ReadySteps encourages parents as a child’s first and best teacher through early learning playgroups.
The program is free of charge to participants and has play-based activities similar to those you would see in a preschool classroom, including music, art, imaginative play, literacy and math. ReadySteps Educators facilitate a parent support and early learning program, centered around routines and building community. Parents and caregivers are active participants in our program, and together we provide kids with experiences designed to promote healthy development.
Since groups are virtual during the COVID-19 pandemic, we'd like to be able to send home the books we read in group for families to follow along at home. We need 10 copies of each of these books:
- Mouse Paint/ Pintura de Raton
- Ten, Nine, Eight/ Diez, Nueve, Ocho
- From Head to Toe/ De La Cabeza a Los Pies
- The Color Monster / El Monstruo de Colores
- Giraffes Can't Dance / Las Jirafas No Pueden Bailar
- The Little Blue Truck / El Camioncito Azul
- All Are Welcome
- In My Heart: A Book of Feelings
- Families
- Baby Goes to Market
- Tap the Magic Tree
If you are part of a community group who could like to host a book drive for us to help make this happen, please contact Kristin Sancken, ksancken@readykidscville.org
